Forget the gym. And forget the Eighties, Flashdance, Jennifer Beals and the paninaro style at the time of the school as well. Maybe last time I wore a sweatshirt, I attended the high school. Then the sweatshirts have vanished; too sports, too teen-aged, too easy. At least until two years ago, when Riccardo Tisci sent on the Givenchy catwalk the panther that has brought back to the top this forgotten garment with a new “couture” appearance. The current sweatshirts show off special effects as unbelievable and surreal patterns, precious appliqués, embroideries, crystals. A big success because the sweatshirt is a good deal for the luxury brands and is the simple idea able to give shine to any look.Jennifer Beals is our cover girl, then there are some inspirations. Finally here there are three collages and some adorable sweatshirts.
